Dependent Care Accounts
(DCA) (Section 129)
A Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is designed to cover certain expenses for the care of dependents who live with you while you are at work. Typically, this refers to childcare for children under 13, but it can also include care for dependents of any age who are physically or mentally unable to care for themselves.
A specified amount of pretax money is deducted from your paycheck each pay period, which is then set aside in a flexible spending account. These funds are taken from your gross earnings before any taxes are applied. The NWGS Flex convenience card can pay for eligible dependent care expenses.
